Today there's a Norwegian research network meeting, in the group JoinGame, here in Volda. The group is pitching plans for future research, and I am going to use this project as an example of something I want to take further and go deeper into. I have not had a chance to analyse the material collected in this project yet, but it's going to happen in the middle of October. I want to use that as a base for an application for a much larger project, as what I have seen of the responses so far are very interesting and useful.

The Gamers' Space
In order to understand the impact of digital games on our culture, it's important to understand how they are used, how they fit into our society, and how the technology is integrated into the everyday. This weblog is dedicated to a research project by Torill Elvira Mortensen, Associate Professor at Volda College, Norway. The aim of this project is to gain an understanding of where the players of digital games play their games. The information is collected through an electronic survey. The links to this survey are posted on the player discussion boards of some of the larger computer games.
